Saturday, Nov. 4th, 2006 The Linus Pauling Award Symposium will be held Saturday, November 4 on the campus of Western Washington University, in Bellingham WA. The symposium will feature lectures by the medalist Peter Stang, as well as Gabor Somorjai (Berkeley), Alanna Schepartz (Yale), and Chad Mirkin (Northwestern). A catered reception and award banquet will be held following the symposium. All events are open to the public. Tickets will be required for the banquet only. Start out going south on Mitchell Way. Turn left onto Airport Drive. Go
through intersection and take the I-5 South ramp. About 7 miles later, take
Exit 252. Follow Western Washington University direction signs to Bill
McDonald Parkway. At South College Drive, take a right. Proceed forward to
the Visitor Information Center for parking information. From Vancouver International Airport: Travel east from the airport on Grant McConachie Way. Follow the signs over the Airport Connector to Highway 99. Follow the Highway 99 South exit signs and travel south on 99 to Pacific Highway Border Crossing (Peace Arch). Continue on Interstate 5 to Bellingham taking Exit 252. Follow Western Washington University direction signs to Bill McDonald Parkway. At South College Drive, take a right.
