Research Interests
My current projects are in the area of computer-assisted instruction. This covers three main topics: design, implementation and testing of instructional materials; design of languages and other tools for the creation of instructional materials; and creation of computer hardware and software for control of automated experiments. Student projects are available mainly in the first and third areas; the student who is interested in a career in teaching chemistry will find work in the creation of CAI materials of value, and any student who wants to understand modern laboratory practice will find work in experiment interfacing and control of value.
