Safety Quiz Information

You must pass an online safety quiz.

The safety quiz is administered online. It will test you on information contained within this Lab Safety Tutorial (Chem 354-355 students, see additional information below). Before the end of the second week of laboratory classes you must pass a safety quiz. The quiz is a 25-question multiple-choice exam administered online. Your instructor’s syllabus will contain the details of what you must do.

The required passing score on the quiz starts at 80% correct and increases as the final deadline approaches.
Do not delay.


If you cannot successfully pass the quiz, you will fail or be dropped from your course.


Be sure to study the following lab safety material seriously.

You are responsible for the information in this safety tutorial as well as " Technique 1: Laboratory Safetyon pp 542-558 from the textbook. Questions on the safety quiz will use material from both sources.
